Keeping Kids Safe

Reading Program

Talking to children about body safety and boundaries can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. At DARCC, we believe that caregivers play a powerful role in preventing sexual violence, and that everyday moments, like reading together, can spark some of the most important conversations.

Our Reading Program equips caregivers with age-appropriate books, guided questions, and simple activities that help children understand consent, body autonomy, and how to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. Each book focuses on a specific topic and is paired with tools to make conversations feel natural, supportive, and empowering.
