Our mission is to engage and educate communities to prevent sexual violence and support survivors as well as their loved ones as they heal and thrive.

A Message From Our CEO

DARCC is the only independent, comprehensive rape crisis center in Dallas County and provides critical services to communities across the region. Our leaders work tirelessly to support and empower survivors of sexual violence.

Over A Decade Of Impact

  • 2007

    Incorporated as Dallas County Sexual Assault Services

  • 2009

    Received 501(c)(3) status, DBA as Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center

    Opened 24-Hour Sexual Assault Hotline

  • 2010

    Partnered with THR Dallas to provide advocacy services for Dallas County’s first hospital-based SANE program

  • 2017

    Became a tenant of the Historic Wilson District through a generous grant from the Meadows Foundation

  • 2018

    Held 1st Annual Community Breakfast

  • 2019

    Launched DARCC’s Young Professionals Collective

  • 2020

    Partnered with the SANE program at THR Rockwall to provide advocacy services

    Began offering all services virtually due to COVID-19 pandemic

  • 2022

    Partnered with Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC)’s SANE program to provide advocacy services

  • 2023

    Launched DARCC’s Advisory Council, Survivor Speakers Bureau, The Upstanders (High School Collective), and Allies 2 Advocates (College Collective)

    Welcomed DARCC’s inaugural Post-Graduate Counseling Fellowship cohort
