The Red Zone: Going to College-What Families Need to Know

In football, we often hear about the “Red Zone”. It is a term used to describe the heightened sense of  urgency on both sides of the ball when the offense gets close to scoring. In this session, we will be talking to  parents of seniors in high school who are heading to college in the Fall about a very difficult, but important topic, sexual violence on campus. Research indicates that college-aged adults are at increased risk of sexual  violence. Our panelists will offer guidance on what to say to your teen/college student about safe and  respectful behaviors, including healthy relationships and consent, Title IX and other campus support services, and how to be supportive during difficult times.
